I can’t believe that we are in our last week of January.  We really flew through this month!  Here are a few ADK-17 reminders:

• No School: Friday, January 29th

• Report Cards will be coming home on February 10th

• Mid-Winter Break: February 12th – 16th

• School Sing-Along: Friday, December 18th at 2:15

• Don’t forget that Polar Express Day is also Friday, December 18th.  Wear your most comfy pajamas but dress for the weather as well!  We are going to have a fun day filled with cocoa, Polar Express, and a school Sing-Along.  We would love if parents or other relatives could join us!!!

• Character Counts Lesson with Mrs. Becker on December 9th – RESPECT

• Early Dismissal: Friday, December 11th at 12:25

• Polar Express Day - Friday, December 18th!  We will be reading this amazing book while sipping hot cocoa and wearing our pajamas.  Yes, our pajamas!  Please plan accordingly as we will still head outside for recess.

• Conferences Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday.  Please mark your day and time on your calendar.

• Don’t forget that all of this week is early dismissal.  Dismissal time is 12:25.

• Thanksgiving Feast is on Tuesday, November 24th at 11:00. Please be sure to send in 1 piece of fruit for us to cut up in class.

• NO SCHOOL on Thursday and Friday.

We are busy little bees in kindergarten for the next couple of weeks!  Here are some reminders:

Wednesday is Veterans Day – there is no school!

Thursday is the last day of the Book Fair. 

Friday will be another busy day!  We begin our Character Counts lessons with Mrs. Becker – these occur approximately once a month during the school year.  We will also have our school-wide ASB assembly from 2:30-3pm.  Students will be voting on their choices for ASB reps for the school year.

Conferences begin on November 20th!

Thank you to all of the wonderful volunteers that were able to help with the Harvest Party and to the family members that joined us!

Please send in a few leaves in a baggie this week! 

October Updates:

Please return your parent-teacher conference forms ASAP!  Conference appointment times will be assigned as I receive your forms back to me – thank you! 

Field Trip to Jubilee Farm:

Students must bring a sack lunch to school or order one through the school cafeteria.  Sack lunch orders are due back to school promptly on Tuesday.  Sack lunches must be entirely disposable! 

Please dress your child for the weather – rain coat, rain boots, etc.  Our class color is BLUE.  We will head to the farm rain or shine!  Your child will bring home a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch on Friday after we paint them in class.

Chaperones – please meet in the classroom at 11:00am on Thursday.  We will return at approximately 2pm.

Friday is our Harvest Party!

Parents – you are invited to attend our party from 11:00-12:00!  No costumes please but wearing FALL colors is welcomed.
